Following the most recent hotspot integration, RE's nightly Merlin build
has failed on x86 3 times out of 3. The failures did not occur in the
same place each time.

Log files can be found by going to /java/jdk/merlin/re/nightly/logs
and doing something like:
  % ls -t oldlogs/*x86* | head
  oldlogs/j2sdk-1_4_0-beta_refresh-b74-build-FAILED-08_01_2001_12-solx86.log
  oldlogs/j2sdk-1_4_0-beta_refresh-b74-build-FAILED-08_01_2001_02-solx86.log
  oldlogs/j2sdk-1_4_0-beta_refresh-b74-build-FAILED-07_31_2001_14-solx86.log
  ...

A saved workspace and core file are available:
