Merlin nightly build fails with:

I was able to reproduce this in my own workspace, first try.

The log file is saved in
/java/re/jdk/1.4.0/nightly/logs/oldlogs/j2sdk-1_4_0-beta3-b78-build-FAILED-08_26_2001_07-solsparc.log

The workspace is /net/exactvm-s.eng/export/home3/jdk/jdk1.4/ws/j2se.
RE will probably rename it, in order to preserve it for investigation.

The nightly-built hotspot binaries being used by the build are in
/net/exactvm-s.eng/export/home3/jdk/jdk1.4/ws/control/build/solaris-sparc/hotspot-sparc/{client,server}.

      I've saved the workspace under
/net/exactvm.eng/usr/re/jdk/jdk1.4/ws.save-aug_26_2001/

and all the core files are readable.
