      Since stderr can't be redirected on win9x/ME, and things like "java -version"
      output go to stderr, it would be helpful to have a java command-line option
      such as "-Xstderr", analogous to javac's "-Xstdout".

      An -Xstdout option would perhaps be beneficial, too.
