Name: ddT132432 Date: 09/18/2001
java version "1.4.0-beta2"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.0-beta2-b77)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.4.0-beta2-b77, mixed mode)
We've got a class called FullScreenWindow that we use for a slideshow module
and other photograph-showing purposes. Under 1.2 and 1.3, this class works
perfectly. With 1.4 beta 2 the panorama scrolling feature has become completely
unusable (treacle slow).
We're only using drawImage() to implement a horizontal photograph panning..
very "vanilla".
Panning performance probably dropped by 10-20 times !!!
Source code is attached to bug
