Unlike other layout managers SpringLayout requires coding to derive
the parent's preferred size. When wouldn't you want this behavior to at least
default to a sum of constraints (like in the draft tutorial examples)? It would
be better to provide a default behavior that is easily customized (overriding a
method?).
