In bug 4488810, I described a repaint problem that occurs when running the Stylepad demo. As the problem was not related to the described bug, it was not investigated further. I am therefore opening a new bug for it.

To see the problem, do the following:
Start Stylepad
Select menu item File->Open
Hit Cancel on the FileDialog that appears, closing it
Notice that the area behind where the FileDialog was is not repainted properly.

It appears that this is new to merlin.

I am using Windows NT 4.0
This bug is much easier to reproduce on a dual processor machine.
The bug seems to go away with -Dsun.awt.noddraw=true
