I've only seen this bug on RedHat 6.1, though it may occur on later versions as well.

In the ScrollPane demo of SwingSet2, once the scrollpane is scrolled, the scrolling image at the left hand side of the scrollpane becomes corrupted. I produced this reliably on awt-linux-01 w/ merlin-beta3 b81.

       For Java2Demo

      OS used Linux 7.1
      Desktop - Gnome.
      Bit Depth - 24 bit
      Build used - B81
      DGA etc default values .
Command used to start Java2Demo :
      cd <JDK_B81_HOME>/demo/jfc/Java2D
      <JDK_B81_HOME>/bin/java -jar Java2Demo.jar

Removing alphacomposite in demos.clipping.ClipAnim makes the duke
become brown in the bottom half , as if wearing pants which go off when
       Alphacomposite is switched on.

Suggestively a manifestation of the same bug is also ,

In the Java2D tab of the demo , the Java Cup image gets painted only half . half the image is not seen .

The above were observed on Full Look Java2Demo Testing . The bug is not reproducible on Windows 2000.I have not regressed it to earlier builds yet .

This is found during s81_50 Install PCT testing with the latest S9 nighlty build. When I did the CD0 GUI test on line1, I saw the display problem with the
Solaris logo on certain sparc and intel. This had been seen on:

      line1-u5
      line1-dell450
      line1-cpq200
      line1-ibm400
      line1-u80

I took the snapshots of the screen shots and we can continue the install. However, it does looks kind of ugly.

      dong{ding}533: rlogin line1-u60
      Password:
No directory! Logging in with home=/
Sun Microsystems Inc. SunOS 5.9 s81_49 May 2002
      line1-u60% java -fullversion
      java full version "1.4.0-beta3-b84"
      line1-u60%

The snapshots are enclosed as attachment and hopefully this will be resolved by Beta Refresh or FCS.

I am still seeing problem in s81_50 with CD0 GUI testing on the follwing sparc platform only:

      line1-u1
      line1-ss20

I had enclosed the new snapshot of the screen shots for people to look at. You can see Solaris logos in line1-ss20.2of2.rs. I will get the frame buffer information once the system reboots since I cannot rlogin into the system.
