The attached program displays several lines of text using the Lucida Sans font.
The last one is the arabic lam-aleph ligature.
Although the ligature displays fine, there is a missing glyph which appears
to have been substituted for the first character.
running the 2d builds this fine on 21st sep build and is broken in 23rd sep
build. It seems likely this was caused by the putback :

I reproduced this problem on solaris 8
