Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.3.1-b24)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.3.1-b24, mixed mode)

When a proxy server returns any value that does not start with "HTTP/1.0 200"
https tunneling will fail. For example, if there is more than 1 space
character between "HTTP/1.0" and "200" then tunneling will fail. This is an
incorrect implementation of the HTTP protocol which states that a HTTP response
may contain any number of space characters between the protocol version and
      response code.
