Tested with Merlin beta3 b83 on Solaris sparc 7, 8 and 9(s81_47), x86 7 and 8 /ja_JP.euc, pck, utf8 locale.

Choice can not display selected Dingbats code correctly.

To reproduce,
1. Extract tes.tar (attached) and compile CharViewMultiLine.java FontView.java
2. Launch CharViewMultiLine
   % java CharViewMultiLine
3. Comes up CharView dialog.
4. Input Dingbats code.
   ex. "2700"
5. Change from "TextArea" to "Choice" using Choice.

You can see that Dingbats code are dispalyed as a "????????" in Choice.
However, clicking on Choice menu, Dingbats list appears at the bottom of choice
menu and they are displayed correctly.
Then, selecting the Dingbats code from the list(ex,"2710", "2770"), the selected
Dingbats code are not displayed correctly.
They are displayed as a "???????".

This problem is not seen in Merlin-beta(b65) and Ladybird.
Therefore, this is regression.

And this problem does not occur Solaris 2.6(sparc/x86).
