Using the plugin on Windows 2000, go to a website with an applet for example
http://www.netives.com/content.jsp?object=/Games.web/Marbles.web/Play.inc.jsp.

Go select Print Preview from the File Menu, you'll notice the applet area is
all black.

Go select Print from the File Menu, you'll notice the printout prints the
applet area in black.

This also occurs when using IE, and the <OBJECT> tag. Example:
