While installing j2sdk-1_4_0-beta3-b84-forte-ce-fcs-3_0-bin-win-02_nov_2001.exe on Windows Platforms ( NT/2000Pro/XP-Prof) the installer dialog shows that a directory J2SDK_Forte is being created with the jdk1.4.0 and Forte IDE installed within.
After the installation is complete the JDK or Forte IDE are not installed. The installer seems to be missing. This was reproducible on all the above Windows Platforms.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:-
1) cd/map to /net/mizu.sfbay/usr/re/forte1.4/bundles/win/latest
2) Run the installer j2sdk-1_4_0-beta3-b84-forte-ce-fcs-3_0-bin-win-02_nov_2001.exe
3) The installer will guide you first through installation of the
Java 2 SDK. Following that, you will be guided through the installation of the Forte for Java, Community Edition-3.
At the end of the process, the Java 2 Runtime Environment will be installed
4) from a command prompt cd into J2SDK_Forte and you will find it empty.
