Bug: This bug occurs at random when viewing an applet. When an applet is
larger then the viewing on the page, the browsers, scrollbar appears and you
should be able to scroll down to view the rest of the applet. You can do the
same by resizing the browser to show only partially viewing of the applet so
you can scroll using the browser to see the rest. What happens when you use
the browser's scrollbar, the applet is not refreshing and sometime repaints
components in a different spot making the applet unviewable. You can see an
example that is listed in java's demos for the java plugin 1.3.1_01a. Make the
browser small enough so that you have to use the scrollbars for viewing the
applet. At times things will repaint just fine, but if you close the browser
so that the plug-in has to reload and go to the applet again and try scrolling
the repainting problem will occur. It seems as if this error is random because
at times this bug will be hard to reproduce.

      Overview of bug:
      1) Open an IE 5.5 browser

      2) Go to the link
      http://java.sun.com/products/plugin/1.3.1_01a/demos/applets/ArcTest/example1.htm
      l

      OR

      http://java.sun.com/products/plugin/1.3.1_01a/demos/applets/CardTest/example1.ht
      ml

      3) Make the browser small enough so that the vertical scrollbars appear and
that you can only view half of the applet

      4) Use the scrollbars to move up and down on the applet. You'll notice that
the applet is not refreshing properly. Note that this only occurs everyonce
and a while. Therefore to reproduce the error again, try doing steps 1-4 over
again about 2-5 times, then you'll be able to reproduce the bug.
