When loading applets in Java Plug-in 1.4 beta 3, the applet startup time is very slow compared to 1.3.1. The slowness is around 2x to 5x of what was in 1.3.1. Also, even if caching turned on/off, the number is not improved at all.

In some of our testings, what used to take 2-3 hours to complete the applet testing now takes more than 26 hours.
