Update Bug
The JaWSbuild that I used for this test was - Javaws-1_0_1_02_FC-bin-b02-win-int-14_Nov_2001
The Jre installed was - J2re-1_4-0-rc-bin-b85-win-i-0..
When the 2 error messages appeared I selected ignore and carried on with the installation.
The test of the install went OK and I was able to launch the product and carry out the tests without any problems.
When I create a "Program" folder on the C drive (as apposed to "Programme" that already exists) and I run the install, I don't get any errors and the install appears to work perfectly.
There has been no similar problems when installing on other windows platforms including Italian XP home.

This bug is now not reproducable
I uninstalled the current version of JaWS because I wanted to see if 1.0.1_01 would cause the same errors. It didn't. I then tried to reinstall 1.0.1_02 but the error messages no longer appeared.
I then removed all the Java from the machine and reinstalled them. Again there were no error messages when I installed 1.0.1_02 so I am now closing this bug as not reproducable.
