This hasn't resolved the problem.

2.7 Intel - Italian

1. Launch the HtmlConverter dialog using the HtmlConverter -gui command
2. From the File menu select Esci - the system crashes and you are returned to the login screen.

I tested this on Solaris 2.7 Intel machine. The locale was Italian

When I run this test on the C (english) locale it crashes also.
