All applications should run through a single instance of the JVM

      With the number of Java applications being deployed, if a user is running
      multiple java applications on a desktop, multiple instances of the JVM
      are invoked; one per application.

      Java should use one instance of the JVM for all applications to reduce the
      memory and CPU footprint.
