How to reproduce the problem:
1) launch the Netscape 6.2.1 (or Netscape 6.2) browser
2) loaded java.sun.com (or any applet) page
3) open another window by going file->new navigator window
4) try to load java.sun.com (or any applet page)
The brower freezes. java_vm seems to be a run-away process, eventually taking up to almost 100% cpu time.
Also tried it with Mozilla0.9.4, downloaded from Netscape. If ran with JRE1.4 as a component (linked to components dir), the same problem happened: the browser freezed. But if ran with JRE 1.3.1 as plugin (linked to plugins dir), it worked fine, no freeze.
Therefore, it seems to be an regression after the change of Java plugin from plugin to component.
