The current 1.4.1 jre installer has 4 windows that the user has to answer questions to. This is too many questions for non-developers. First, we should get rid of the welcome screen. We will still most likely have to show a license agreement. We should then have a custom vs. standard installation choice. Developers can choose custom if they desire, but the default will be standard. Any additional windows will only show if they choose custom. This will minimize the installation to 2 windows for consumers. I'm assuming Mike Albers will have more input and ideas.
