Many requests for javadoc are to provide different views.
Requests include separating static members separated from non-static,
hiding protected members, highlighting inherited abstract members
(to make it easier to know what to implement), and so forth.
Some of these can be done in the standard doclet, but some can
only be done by providing user preferences at runtime that enable
the user to pick and choose what he wants to view.
