reproduce:
1) Installing j2sdk-1_4_0_01-ea-bin-b01-win-22_mar_2002.exe withour error
2) Using testcase swing_awt_tests.tar which located in /net/alc-bj.prc/projects/jdk/merlin/l10n/testcase directory and run the following command:
c:\>cd .\awt\classes
c:\>java awttest -command test
and then you can get the "AWTTest - test" panel
3) Select "euro" from "awt.Applet" pull down menu and press "Start" btton to launch and get "applet viewer: EuroTest.class" panel
4) Press "Next Locale" to get to the next locale display and it keeps working well till coming to "ireland" locale to get hanging up
5) Just using command line to run the "appletviewer uri..." seperated from the testcase or using the attached Testpipe.java to test the euro applet itself. It works well without any errors.
6) Using the attached Test.java to test it and the same hang-up problem appearred
7) The only difference between Test.java and Testpipe.java is that Testpipe.java outputs the buffer message, but Test.java not. Please see the attachment for detailed.
