1. Go to the Get Java webpage
2. Select Auto download and wait for the download to begin.

A window will automatically open up to show the progress of the download. Underneath the progress bar is a string "Time Remaining" followed by the amount of time remaining in the download. A colon should appear after the string "Time Remaining" to seperate it from the min and sec string

German - After "Geschatzte verblieber" there should be a colon - see german-progress.gif
Italian - After "Tempo restante previs" there should be a colon -see italian-progress-gif
