class cast exception thrown if switch focus between icon list and any window

on all platforms

steps to reproduce:

1. enable java console
2. start app manager
3. make sure there are some applications listed in the icon list.
4. enlarge the icon list so there is empty area (white area).
5. now switch focus between the empty area and any other window on the desktop.

you will see class cast exception thrown in the console.
