the current implementation of JDK_UPDATE_RELEASE requires that the build
pass in the "_" underscorre as part of the value:
   gnumake all JDK_UPDATE_RELEASE="_01"
However, the RE scripts, plugin code and Install shield scripts expect
the value without the underscore. There was miscommunication here...
