The jvmstat code is causing crashes upon shutdown (4676647) and failure of the
VM to start (4674034, 4676155). The flag UsePerfData was added (at my
insistence) as protection against possible problems. Now that we have
encountered some, the code should be turned off immediately until these problems
are resolved.
