      FULL PRODUCT VERSION :
      java version "1.4.0"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.0-b92
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.4.0-b92, mixed mode)

On Javadoc-generated pages, add a link to the dense list of package names (the page at .../docs/api/overview-frame.html).

I realize that the top-level page at .../docs/api/overview-summary.html already
lists all packages. However, when you know exactly which package you want, scrolling down that long page can take a while.

Easy access to the dense package list (without descriptions)
(at .../docs/api/overview-frame.html) pages would be helpful.

Maybe you could add a "Packages" list on all pages.

Maybe you could add a link on the dense package list
frame to expand the list from just a frame to the
      whole browser window.

Then even a user browsing in no-frames mode would need only
two clicks (on the "FRAMES" links and then on the new link
on the package list frame) toget to the dense list of
packages and be ready to scroll quickly to and click on
the name of the desired package.
