Steps to reproduce -

i) Install jre1.4.0-fcs

2) Then install jre1.4.1

3) Invoke NS4.75 browser and run a jdk1.4.1 plugin demo. The applet loads fine using jre1.4.1.

4) Close the browser, invoke it again.

5) Try to run the Clock 1.4.0 demo applet, from

http://java.sun.com/products/plugin/1.4/demos/plugin/applets.html

6) The applet does not laod and asks to get the plugin, even though 1.4.0 is installed.

Note -

This works fine for IE5.5 on the same OS.
