FULL PRODUCT VERSION :
java version "1.4.1"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.1-b21)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.4.1-b21, mixed mode)
FULL OPERATING SYSTEM VERSION :
Microsoft Windows 2000 [Version 5.00.2195]
A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM :
The CTRL+F6 to navigate through IFrames works only when one
of the frames is open and is active. Also,if all the
IFrames are de iconified and one of them have the focus,
pressing CTRL+F10 to maximize the same does not work...
When an IFrame is open and has focus, pressing F6 takes us
through even the non-focussed minimized frames. There is
also some inconsistency in the functioning of key bindings.
Why is this so? This bug could affect navigation...
STEPS TO FOLLOW TO REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM :
1.Open some internal frames in a desktop pane
2.Minimize all and set the focus on one of them
3.Try to maximize using CTRL+F10 (Bug!)
4.Then, keep one of the IFrames open and now press F6 to
navigate. This works
EXPECTED VERSUS ACTUAL BEHAVIOR :
By pressing F6, I wanted to navigate through InternalFrames
irrespective of whether they are in open or minimized
state. Also, Maximizing must be possible on desktopIcons
and not active windows that are in restored (dimensions
lesser than maximum) state.
REPRODUCIBILITY :
This bug can be reproduced often.
CUSTOMER WORKAROUND :
An approach is to make sure that at least one IFrame is
open. Then use F6 to go to the next frame, and use F9 in
case minimizing is required.
