Here's a standalone test case.
You need to be using Windows 2000, although the problem occurs on NT as
well.
Here is how to run the Wires applet.
Log on to jpmorgan site (Daniel Stux is the contact).
Login and and click on "Wires" under the "Initiation" pane.
As the applet comes up, you will see the plugin download several jars.
After a while, you will be presented with the UI.
TO MAKE IT CRASH:
To make it crash, we simply yanked out the ethernet cable half way
through downloading one of the jars. The download progress bar makes
it easy. Be sure to clear your jar caches to force the plugin to
redownload everything.
After you pull out the plug, one of two things happens.
1) The browser immediately crashes, same error: KERNEL32.DLL
2) The plugin puts up a dialog showing an exception. Upon clicking
"Ok", the browser crashes. Same error.
Use Windows 2000.
