On unsupported Auto Java Update platforms , The Check Box for " Check for Updates Automatically" should be disabled in the Java Plug-in Control Panel.

If this option is not disabled on the unsupported platforms , This might mislead the users to configure for automatic updates.

 1.) Install the mantis j2re.exe from the above mentioned location
 2) On Test Machine(windows 98) ,Java Control Panel -> update tab -> "Check for Updates Automatically" is enabled .
