Platform: Windows 32-bit
Build : J2SE 1.4.2 Mantis b-08
Bundle: j2sdk.exe, j2re.exe (full & web bundles)
Location : /java/re/jdk/1.4.2/promoted/beta/b08/bundles/windows-i586
Test case: Clean install test cases
reproduced in : Win XP-Pro, Windows 2000 Pro
Win32: files remaining in SDK/JRE image after uninstall of mantis.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
1. Install the j2re.exe on a clean machine.
2. Run Plugin demos with IE & Netscape 7 or run application demos
3. Uninstall the J2RE.
4. If there are locked files in the j2re image, then the installer asks for a reboot.
5. After reboot, all the files inside c:\program files\j2re will still be there. Java plugin files can be found inside Netscape/Mozilla plugin folder.
But there are no registry keys.
This problem is also observed when there are locked files in mantis SDK image.
this is not the expected behaviour.
