Java Installer should update the files in the system directory "java.exe" "javaw.exe", when the patched versions are installed.

To reproduce the problem:

1. Install Java Update PIT build (non-patched version) from the location above.
2. From the Command line , get java version

  java -fullversion
  java full version "1.4.2-b09"

3. Uninstall Java Update PIT build (non-patched version)

4. Install Java Update PIT build (patched version)

   command line, get java version

   java -fullversion
   java full version "1.4.2-08"

Though the base Image and patch is applied correctly ,When Patched version is installed the java full version should be updated , the files in the system directory should be update appropriately w.r.t to patch version.
