Steps to Reproduce -

1) Install jre/jdk mantis-b09.

2) Invoke a Plugin demo applet which has a drop down menu, For ex. CardTest, DitherTest, GraphicsTest
3) Once the plugin applet loads, click on the drop down menu to select from the available options.
4) The browser crashes.

This problem is only present on Linux. The test passes on Windows and Solaris. These tests passed on Linux for mantis-b07 (tried with RH7.3/NS7.0)
