JRE tested: j2re-1_5_0 - b01 (SWAT Tiger testing)

Problem: application/x-java-applet;version=1.5 is not registered with NS 4.75 on windows platform - (works fine with NS6+)

Steps to reproduce:

1) Install j2re-1_5_0-beta-bin-b01-windows-i586-10_jan_2003.exe
from
/net/mizu.sfbay/usr/re/jdk1.5.0/bundles/windows-i586/latest

2) Using NS 4.75, load the following mimetype 1.5 applet:
http://sqesvr/deployment2/rpallath/plugin/tiger/tests/mimetypes/pluginhtml-default/MimeType_150.html

The applet can not be loaded.

The tested applet uses

<EMBED type="application/x-java-applet;version=1.5">

not 1.5.0

Open Netscape 4.75, go to "Help"---->"About Plugs-ins"

there is no applicatio/x-java-applet;version=1.5 registered.


Note: On windows, MIME types for netscape has version 1.5.0 instead of 1.5. This is inconsistent with MIME types for netscape has version 1.5 on Solaris.
