Name: rl43681 Date: 01/28/2003
FULL PRODUCT VERSION :
java version "1.4.1_01"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.1_01-b01)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.4.1_01-b01, mixed mode)
FULL OPERATING SYSTEM VERSION :
Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600]
A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM :
When using a 1.4.1 VM, on which I had to manually install
the AccessBridge, to run a Swing app, no accessible
information is provided. JavaFerret shows an empty display
and JAWS doesn't read anything. Worked fine with 1.3.1 & 1.4.0
STEPS TO FOLLOW TO REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM :
1. Attempt to run AccessBridge installer with JDK 1.4.1
installed; install should fail.
2. Following AccessBridge docs and do a manual install.
3. Bring up NetBeans (or any Swing app) with 1.4.1 VM used
in steps 1 & 2 above.
4. Open JavaFerret, which ships with AccessBridge; it gives
absolutely no information at all about about the swing app.
EXPECTED VERSUS ACTUAL BEHAVIOR :
JavaFerret should have displayed a lot of accessible
information about the swing app, but it was completely
blank. It worked fine using both JDK 1.3.1 and 1.4.0.
ERROR MESSAGES/STACK TRACES THAT OCCUR :
Nothing!
REPRODUCIBILITY :
This bug can be reproduced always.
