Name: rmT116609 Date: 01/29/2003
FULL PRODUCT VERSION :
java version "1.4.1_01"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.1_01-b01)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.4.1_01-b01, mixed mode)
FULL OPERATING SYSTEM VERSION :
Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600]
A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM :
javadoc generated documents have the background color set, but not the foreground. This can result in unreadable html depending on the system text background color. An HTML page should specify either all colors, or none.
STEPS TO FOLLOW TO REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM :
1. In Windows XP advanced display properties, set "Window
Text" to white-on-black.
2. View JDK 1.4.1 API documents, or any other javadoc
generated documents, using IE.
EXPECTED VERSUS ACTUAL BEHAVIOR :
Expect the html pages to use either all system colors, or all specified colors. Instead, the system foreground text color is used, but the background color is specified as white in the html, resulting in white-on-white text.
REPRODUCIBILITY :
This bug can be reproduced always.
