2-state controls (checkboxes) seem to be more appropriate and convenient for text properties such as bold, italic, underline, font sizes, etc.
Currently controls used by demo/jfc/Stylepad for this purpose do not display the current user choice. This can confuse novice users of the demo
and can be misinterpreted as a bug.
