FULL PRODUCT VERSION :
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.0_01-b03)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.4.0_01-b03, mixed mode)
FULL OPERATING SYSTEM VERSION :Windows 2000 Professional
A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM :
The set of pre-installed root certificates is extremely
limiting as there are so few there, focusing on
Verisign/Thawte. Other certificates are MUCH cheaper to
purchase which is important for tiny companies such as mine
(just two of us, lack of funds).
The warning strongly advising users not to install and run
the software is a bit strong, forcing us to purchase a
signed certificate which should really be our choice. Our
program is not able to use the sandbox feature.
Please could you arrange additional certificate authorities
to be included - taking a base from popular web browsers
would seem sensible.
REPRODUCIBILITY :
This bug can be reproduced always.
