A DESCRIPTION OF THE REQUEST :
While localizing NetBeans to Russian I translated
com/sun/swing/internal/plaf/basic/resources/basic.properties
com/sun/swing/internal/plaf/metal/resources/metal.properties

Though NetBeans classloader allows to load these bundles in order that Metal L&F uses them, it would be more natural to include these files in JDK itself.

They are situated on netbeans.org cvs pserver and are also availabe via http -
http://www.netbeans.org/source/browse/translatedfiles/src/swing/com/sun/swing/internal/plaf/...

They are verified against JDK 1.4.1_03

Please include them in a future JDK/JRE distributions. On a request, I can translate 1.4.2 / 1.5 bundles

JUSTIFICATION :
Users with Russian OSs like Linux and Windows see Open/Save File dialog in English, looking absolutely not consistent with their locale.

EXPECTED VERSUS ACTUAL BEHAVIOR :
EXPECTED -
Open/Save File Dialogs have Russian labels.
ACTUAL -
Open/Save File Dialogs have English labels.

CUSTOMER SUBMITTED WORKAROUND :
Distributing these bundles with end-user application could be a solution, but only given that the app. is expected to work only on a single version of JDK ;-(
