A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM :
My boss has recently bought a Portégé 3500 PIII-M 1.33GHz/256MB/40GB/12.1TFT/LAN/WiFi/BT/WXP TAB with a Trident CyberALADDiN-T graphics adapter.

When I installed a Java application I have been developing onto this laptop there were all sorts of strange graphics painting bugs with Java jre1.4.1. Particulary noticable where JTextFields. The same application runs fine on his laptop using jre 1.3. The same application runs fine on other (none Tablet) PCs.

I suspect this is the graphics driver clashing with some part of the jre 1.4 graphics API. I tried the 1.4.2 beta release today, but it made no difference.

Bascially I canot move forward with developing the Application using any actual 1.4.1 specific improvements/facilities until I can resolve this.

STEPS TO FOLLOW TO REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM :
Run your SwingSet2.jar Demo which comes in the JDK 1.4.1_02.

Move about a bit the demo a bit.

EXPECTED VERSUS ACTUAL BEHAVIOR :
EXPECTED -
You will notice the main tabs start painting funny.

ComboBox list paint funny.

Drag around the internal frames a bit..they start echoing etc,

etc, etc.

As above

REPRODUCIBILITY :
This bug can be reproduced always.
