A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM :
When JAWS reads menu entries in a Java application, the mnemonic
indicated by an underscore is not read.
On the Internet Explorer File menu, for example, Jaws reads "New"
followed by "N" for the mnemonic.
This is a Section 508 issue.
STEPS TO FOLLOW TO REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM :
Run JAWS 4.51 and any Java application that uses menus with mnemonics.
Observe that the menu entry is read but not the mnemonic character
indicated by the underscore.
EXPECTED VERSUS ACTUAL BEHAVIOR :
EXPECTED -
Performance like a Windows application. The menu entry should read,
followed by the mnemonic character.
ACTUAL -
Only menu entry was read - no mnemonic
REPRODUCIBILITY :
This bug can be reproduced always.
