A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM :
In the Web Start gui client app under File-Preferences-
Advanced tab, if you check-off 'Show Java Console' & 'Log
Output' and then hit the 'Clear Folder' button on the same
page it de-selects the check-boxes for 'Show Java Console'
& 'Log Ouputput'.

It looks like it just goes back to the previously known
  state. After hitting clear folder..

STEPS TO FOLLOW TO REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM :
1.Run Web Start
2.Go to File-Preferences-Advanced
3.Check Show Java Console and Log output
4.Hit Clear Folder button on same page.

EXPECTED VERSUS ACTUAL BEHAVIOR :
Expect the check-box selections to stay the same when
hitting clear folder.

REPRODUCIBILITY :
This bug can be reproduced always.
