Japanese IM can't work on TextArea/TextField.
TextArea/TextField can't input japanese character on RedHat AS 2.1 ia64 with Tiger b10.

To reproduce;

1) Run CharView or CharViewMultiLine(attached)
   <--- Warning messages are displayed on terminal.
        This probem is already filed as #4890554.
2) Comes up dialog.
3) Change from "Button" to "TextField" using Choice
4) Shift + SPACE
You can seen the Japanese IM can't work. Japanese charcter are not inputted.

* This problem does not occur on Swing component.
* This problem does not occur on Mantis FCS.
Therefore, this is a regression.
