A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM :
One can change some settings related to file dialogs in Windows using the Tweak UI "powertoy" (in the Common Dialogs section). The following features can be modified:

- Whether a Back button is present
- Whether previously used filenames are remembered
- Whether the "Places Bar" (on the left) is present
- The five directories shown in the Places bar

I believe that none of these are honored by the Swing file dialog. (Is it so bad to use a native one? :)

This bug can be reproduced always.
