What is this RFE About?

To provide help feature in JavaWebStart.

1) What is available in current version?

In current version of JavaWebStart,if user wants to know about any function
available in JavaWebStart user has to browse to the folder where it is installed and for example(c:\Program File\java\JavaWebStart) or user has to download JavaDoc from Sun site and look for help docs.

2) What are the ways help can be provided?

1.When JRE or JDK installed in windows ShortCut is created in Program menu
we can provide a link to the doc which is available local disk(if it is available) or point the link to the SUN site.

2.To provide help in Application Manager itself.

3.Help can be provided as general help using help window and also context sensitive help.

4) How it will help user?
If help is provided in above mentioned format,it is more easier for the user to know about the functions available in JavaWebStart and also it reduce the effort of the user to look for help in local directory or in WebSite,for a user trying for the first time, if the helps are available in Web Start Application Manager it will help him to know about the functionality within the application itself.

5) What are the Risk Factor?
If the helpdoc is bundled with JRE or JDK the size of the bundle will increase,to overcome this we can provide separate installable which is add-on to webstart,it can be downloaded separately from the WebSite.
