Installation of J2SE, v1.4.1_05 unsuccessful on Win2K SP2/SP4

      Downloaded J2SE v 1.4.1_05 installer from javasoft for Windows.
      Installation hung during Setting Up JRE, cancellation failed.
      So, I rebooted. And Updated Windows from SP2 to SP4, still having
      the same problem. Installer hangs during JRE setup.

      Add/Remove programs has an entry for J2sdk, but not for jre.
