During install received the following error message:

Java Update fails to apply changes to your system.

After I click "OK" on this message, another message appears:

Error 1722. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor.





STEPS TO FOLLOW TO REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM :
Install J2SDK 1.4.2_01 on Windows XP.

Expected install to complete.
ACTUAL -
Saw error noted above.
