A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM :
After running the offline j2re installer the MicroVersion registry value is set to 0 when it should be 2. When installed on Windows 2000 or XP it is correctly the MicroVersion key is set to 2.

This was using j2re-1_4_2_02-windows-i586-p.exe downloaded from java.sun.com

The same problem occurs with the 1.4.2 and 1.4.2_01 J2RE installers.

STEPS TO FOLLOW TO REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM :
Run the installer, look in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\JavaSoft\Java Runtime Environment\1.4 key. Compare MicroVersion value to the one in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\JavaSoft\Java Runtime Environment\1.4.2_02
