The spec for ModelMBeanInfo.setDescriptor says that if the descriptor type parameter is null, then a RuntimeOperationsException wrapping an IllegalArgumentException should be thrown. But in fact the method returns without doing anything in this case. A comment says that the exception should be thrown and it looks as if the fact that it is not is just an oversight.
