      Here is the steps to add iiim module to the java selection menu on JDS.

      0. Download and install the latest J2SDK. You can also install in the
         following way:

         # Become super-user
         # cd /opt
         # run /net/disk1/users/sriram/java_im/j2sdk-1_4_2_02-linux-i586.bin
         # export PATH=/opt/j2sdk1.4.2_02/bin:$PATH
         
      1. Download Input Method Hot Key| tool. this tool is for the platforms that do not have the /Select Input Method/ menu item in the system menu (e.g. Linux)

      You can get this tool from: http://java.sun.com/products/jfc/tsc/articles/InputMethod/InputMethodHotKey.jar

      2. use this tool to define a hot key combination. such as Ctrl+Shift+1.

      java -jar InputMethodHotKey.jar [-system]

      3. copy /net/disk1.sfbay/users/sriram/java_im/iiimf.jar to
         /opt/j2sdk1.4.2_02/jre/lib/ext

      4. Set locale to 'ar_EG' or 'he_IL' or 'en_US' or 'cs_CZ'

      5. start Notepad.jar

      6. type Ctrl+Shift+1, you will see the input method selection menu.

      7. select "Sun Internet/Intranet Input Method" item, and select a input language. Application doesn't connect to the Input Server (no status window).
